Garden Lakes
Garden lakes is a setting that provides a therapeutic environment to helps trouble teens understand the importance of, appropriate behavior, values and responsible choices so they will be able to enhance their strengths and development.  At Garden Lakes here young men build character, self discipline, self esteem, appreciation of others, and the ability to comply with authority, laws, and social norms. At Garden Lakes we believe that all young people are capable of growth and change. Our interventions are built around positive expectations. We do not give up on anyone.  Our goal is to return youth to their homes and communities to be effective family members and productive citizens as quickly as possible.

Garden Lakes provides a nurturing home situated in a natural setting with a maximum of four boys. The adolescents are closely supervised by, highly trained staff.  The day planning assures that healthy meals and therapeutic activity are part of each day.

The client is an important part of the Treatment Team. The Treatment Plan is built around the client’s unique and individual needs. The staff works with the Treatment Team to identify issues and find resources to define the plan. Our treatment plans provide a variety of  age appropriate interventions. Clients are referred for additional services within the community as indicated; such as, for individual and family counseling or financial services.  Services are coordinated and monitored by professional staff.

Change is a natural part of our lives. Garden Lakes teaches the youth how to cope and adapt to change.  Real life experiences provide a natural environment to learn coping strategies and build life skills. The youth can take these new skills back to their home setting. Garden Lake is a community based group home. The youth in our program are active within the community because our program is structured around normalizing activity. The young people attend a neighborhood school and are encouraged to pursue other meaningful activity; such as, employment, recreational, and community service activities.
